Mission Statement of the Ministry of Agriculture
Their purpose is:
To improve and sustain measurable levels of food and nutrition security for the population, attain a modernised sector ensuring measurable competitive, efficient, and sustainable food and agriculture value chains and linkages to markets, ensure a diversified and export oriented production system to minimise risks in food security, farmer income and export earnings, and to ensure sustainable effective management of the natural resource base of the sector.
