ANGOLA - MINISTRY OF ENERGY AND WATER (MINEA)
   i) The Consultant shall be a reputable Civil Engineering Consultancy firm with at least 15 years of experience in infrastructure (especially in dams), hydraulic and water sector engineering. and with at least 10 years’ experience in Sub-Saharan African Countries. The Consultant should be fully conversant with World Bank procurement documents and construction of projects in developing countries.
ii) Be a reputable Environmental Consultancy firm with at least 10 years’ experience in conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, Environmental and Social Management Plans as well as Resettlement Action Plan;
iii) Have experience in conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for 5 projects related to construction and upgrading of water supply systems; Have thorough working knowledge of the World Bank Environmental and Social Safeguards Policies or Standards and WBG General ESHS Guidelines, in particular the Specific Sector Guidelines for Water and Sanitation, and knowledge of Angolan Environmental and Social regulations and standards;
iv) At least at least five (5) years conducting environmental assessment studies on water supply system projects or infrastructure.
v) Previous experience of at least three (3) in Dams, bridges or similar projects, but with financing or co-financing from the World Bank or other bilateral agencies.
vi) Demonstrate to have specialised staff, with experience to develop the study;
vii) Have relevant experience in Angola or other countries in the region with similar socio-economic and environmental characteristics.
viii) The consultant shall be registered at the Angolan Ministry of Environment.
